West Bengal Election Results 2021 LIVE: TMC races ahead of BJP; Mamata, Mukul Roy leads

LIVE: West Bengal Assembly Election Results 2021: It seems the BJP has conceded defeat as the Election Commission data showed that the Trinamool Congress was leading in over 200 Assembly seats. Seems the Bengal electorate has chosen Didi, said Kailash Vijayvargiya.

Kolkata: As the counting of votes for the West Bengal election continues on Sunday, the Election Commission data showed that Trinamool Congress might return to power in the state. Commenting on the EC data, BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said it seems the Bengal has chosen ‘Didi’ and TMC’s ‘wheelchair and outsider’ poll campaign might have worked for the party.

However, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee was trailing against BJP candidate Suvedu Adhikari in Nandigram.

Locket Chatterjee is trailing from Chunsura. Meanwhile, Babul Supriyo and actor Yash Gupta were also trailing from Tollygunge and Chanditala constituencies respectively.

TMC heavyweight Firhad Hakim is leading against BJP's Awadh Kishore Gupta and CPI(M)-Congress-ISF combine's Mohammed Mukhtar from Kolkata Port constituency

The Election Commission of India will declare the West Bengal Election Result today. The politically charged state witnessed a high voltage campaign by Mamata Banerjee’s TMC and the resurgent BJP. Though the Left, Congress and Indian Secular Front (ISF) are also in the fray, the West Bengal Assembly Elections are a bipolar contest between the ruling party and the saffron party.
